ABSTRACT
Introduction european code system eurocode (pp. 3-5)
Eng. Dang Minh Phuong, MEng. Truong thi hong thuy
European code system Eurocodes is a set of standards on the structure by the Committee of European Standardizations (CEN) issued to apply to the countries of the European Union EU. This paper introduces an overview of the basic content of the Eurocode codes system as well as the conversion rule, applicable in the Member States and development orientation of this system.
The reactor technologies and safety requirements for atomic power stations (pp.6-10)
A/Prof.Dr. Nguyen Vo Thong, Eng. Hoang Manh
This report presents the basic characteristics of a reactor technology used in atomic power stations and safety requirements for load bearing and radiation technologies with which to help civil engineers have built the initial orientation in the selection of structural and material solutions to serve the construction projects of atomic power stations in Vietnam.
Seismic rick assessment for Vung Ang thermal power plant, Ha Tinh (pp. 11-14)
Prof. Dr. Sc. Tran Manh Lieu, A/Prof. Dr. Phan Trong Trinh, Eng. Trinh Viet Bac, Dr. Tran Dinh Ngoc
This paper presented results of seismic risk assessment for Vung Ang thermal power plant from active fault VA1 far 10 km from south of plant and Rao Nay fault (far 35 km from the plant) by seismotectonic method and from the data of historical and recorded earthquakes.
Vung Ang region may be affected by earthquake as large as M 5.6 from an active fault VA1 with PGA 0.18g and response spectra max at frequency 6-7 Hz. Earthquakes generated from Rao Nay fault do not affect to safety Vung Ang thermal power plant
Optimization shallow ribbed shells (pp.15-17)
A/Prof. Dr. Tran Minh, MEng. Tran Ngoc Trinh
This article presents a application method linea programming to analysis of optimization of ribbed shells. The calculation results show that the weight of the optimal reinfoced concrete shells can be considerably decreased.
On the assessement the resistance of the reinforced concrete frame building Subjected to fuzzy load and random data (pp.18-25)
MEng. Nguyen Thanh Hung
Nowdays, there are some works on the fuzzy analysis and tecchenical diaynosis constructions. But that is new problem, not enable application for reinforced concrete construction.
In this paper, the author presented diagnosis method, after that assessmed a frame building in Cua Lo distict.
Scientific work distance on joints in wooden elements (pp.26-31)
Dr. Tran Minh Duc, Eng. Le Anh Dung
Rently published some scientific works /1/ confirmed the Efficiencies of types of joints in wood elements. It is very important role of some values such us: the distance of the pines in joints, distance from pines to surfaces of elements, the dimensions of the pines ect. Somes scientific works on distance beetwins pines are Vietnam Institute for Building Science and Technology.
Recommendation on classification of gravity movement of stone on the mountain slopes and taluys (pp. 32-38)
MEng. Nguyen Duc Ly, A/Prof.Dr. Doan The Tuong
At present, there are lots of classification methods recommended by different scientific researchers and authors worldwide and nationwide. Majority of these methods do not agree with each others on the principles, degree and criteria for the classification. The categorization of different “category”, “sub-category”, “form” and “sub-form” is greatly inconsistent and utilize different technical terms…This fact causes many difficulties in statistics, aggregation and reporting, including the missunderstanding in the nature of stone gravity movement processes.
In this article, we recommend a classification method of gravity movement of stone on the mountain slopes and taluys.
Application methods of geometrical levelling in the observation large span steel beam deflection (pp. 39-44)
Eng. Nguyen Van Xuan, MEng. Le Van Hung
Project DA239/05 – Ministry of Public Security, being constructed on 5.8 ha land space, is a multifunctional complex with high technological and aesthetic characteristics. The designer has choose the solution for designing steel beam system with span of 43 m, 8m of height, being installed at an altitude of 31m above bottom of the construction work. The beam system has 4 steel beams, being constructed on reinforced concrete partition of 1.4 m of width. As the beam system has to bear the load of 10 storey, it is deflected, thus designers have calculated estimated deflection of the beam system. To monitor and give out actual deflection of the steel beam system during operation, Center of Surveying and Construction Engineering has been assigned to survey the deflection of this steel beam system. Base on strict requirements in terms of technique, equipments and structural features of the steel beam system, Center of Surveying and Construction Engineering has selected geometric elevation leveling to observe deflection of the steel beam system. This article will give details about the steel beam system observation by geometric leveling.
Maintenance of construction work (pp.45-48)
A/Prof. Dr. Tran Chung
Premature degradation of quality of construction works is mainly caused by lack of maintenance. What is maintenance and how does maintenance become a part of construction activities? This paper discusses about some academic problems to have sufficient understanding about the essence of maintenance of construction works.
