Numerical computation for lower surface pressure coefficients on a porous sunshade roof cover sheet (pp. 3-9)

This paper describes a computational method that is based on the extended form of the Bernoulli equation for predicting the lower surface pressure coefficients on a porous sunshade roof cover sheet with respect to two porosities f (ratio between area of orifices and area of sheet) and various wind angles from known upper surface and surrounding pressures. The results of wind tunnel experiments on two 1:50 scale-models of low-rise buildings with porous sunshade roof cover sheets are good in good agreement with the computational results.
A study on evaluating stability of Red riverbank line in the Hanoi area (pp.10-14)

The paper presents actuality of Red river bank unstability in the Hanoi area, analysing and evaluating acting factors leading to them. By combinaison of factors belonging to technical-natural condition, Red river bank unstability risk in the Hanoi area is predicted with 4 levels.
Effect of the confinement by reinforced bar to the compressive capacity of axial reinforced concrete column (pp.15-21)

Based on the theory of the confined concrete, this paper present the result of research on the effect of the reinforced bar to the compressive capacity of rectangular reinforced concrete column. The effect of the reinforced bar was defined base on former research results, and was studied by using ANSYS. The results of study was compared and evaluated.

This paper presents method used for civil building energy performance evaluation. This method isused for building energy efficiency performance evaluation of all existing buildings and existing building energy retrofitting projects. The building energy evaluation in the paper addresses to building envelop thermal performance, HVAC system, lighting system and renewable energy utilization. Building energy efficiency evaluation of existing buildings, existing building energy retrofitting projects shall not only comply with this method, but also comply with other concerned building regulations.

Fire dynamic simulator softwares are often used in the study fire safety solutions for buildings, and also can be used to analyze changes in the development of fire to support fire assessment survey based on the actual factors of the buildings: such as fire load, characteristics of geometry of combustion chamber, ventilation conditions, etc. This text introduces Fire Dynamic Simulator (FDS) software which is now widely adopted around the world and is also being applied in the Department for Fire Safety Engineering - Institute of Building Structures. The authors present the results obtained through analysis of a realworld project.
